Parties and Styled Shoots: Looking Back At 2011

With this year almost behind us (and can I take a moment to just marvel at how quickly this year swept by?! Crazy!) I thought it would be fun to pull together all the parties and styled shoots I did in one place. You know, just because sometimes my old tired brain forgets that I actually did anything and it is all like a blurred distant memory in my head!

Ready to take a ride down memory lane? Hold onto your seats... here we go!

If you remember, I had a baby a few days after Thanksgiving (I know, that was 2010 but it effected 2011 so I'm mentioning it) so not much happened until the end of January. When I finally emerged from my new mommy daze, I styled a shoot for my Be Mine, Valentine Collection. (More pics and details here.)

Having two boys, it's always so fun to have an excuse to do something a little girly and PINK! (I might have gone a little overboard here!)

With February, came Sophia's Vintage Barbie Inspired 5th Birthday Party. More pink! How could I resist?! (You can see all the details here.)

In April, with Easter fast approaching, I styled a bright, energetic shoot for my Hippity Hop Easter Collection. We had SO much fun doing this and the kids absolutely enjoyed "taste testing" each and every treat! (More details and pictures here.)

Jack's Little Squirt Birthday Party was up next. It was a great theme to play with and I love that we were able to add a bit of a nautical twist without being too on the nose! (You can check out all the details and pictures here.)

At the end of May I was so lucky to be asked to create a Pirate and Fairy Party for Kacey and David. It was fabulous to be to able to bring a little bit of Neverland to life for their joint birthday party! (More details and pictures here.)

In July we hosted a Backyard Summer Camp Party dubbed "Camp Dashell". Each child had their own tent and there were tons of fun activities and yummy food. It was the perfect summertime playdate! (Pictures and details here.)

I always love exploring a theme I haven't had the chance to do before, so I was thrilled to be asked to style Dean's Tiki Inspired 1st Birthday Luau this summer! (A few more pics and details here.)

As summer drew to a close I threw a Circus Train Party for my son Dashell's 3rd Birthday. Oh yeah, I haven't posted about this one yet. Remember when I mentioned earlier that 2011 has been a bit of a blur? I wasn't kidding! So, stay tuned because I owe you some fun party pics, tons of details and the blueprints to make your very own train table! Here's a sneak peek...

To kick off Dashell's first official year of school, in September, we had one of his best friend's, Lauren, over for a small party/playdate with lots of fun First Day of School / Back To School treats and activities! (Pics, details and free printables here.)

And as the year drew to a close, the inevitable happened, my little baby, Becks, turned one! That in itself was enough to make me ask, "where the heck did this year go??!" Well, you only turn 1 once and so it absolutely has be to an occasion to remember! Thus the planning and throwing of Beckett's Winter ONEderland Party. Welcome to this beautiful world, my little bear cub! I hope your first year was wonderful. (Tons more pictures and details here.)

I was also SO very honored to be asked to collaborate on printables for too many parties to count this year! It was a great privilege and I treasured each and every opportunity! Thank you for inviting me into your lives to help you with your own very special celebrations. It meant the world to me!

And, thank you all for supporting my work, creative endeavors and random ponderings this year!! AND for sharing so much of YOUR joy and inspiration. It has all made the past year so much more fabulous than I could have ever imagined!
