{Client Parties} Ruby's Circus Party!!

I have been getting so many fabulous pictures lately of amazing client parties that I just have to start sharing. Today I am SO excited to share with you a few pictures from Ruby's Circus Party!!

Ruby mom, Katie, did an AMAZING job!! Everything looks gorgeous and there are so many creative details.

Katie asked me to create a sign which would greet the guests and set the tone for the rest of the event...

Katie put together a couple beautiful buffets...

I love the "popcorn" flower arrangements!!

And how cute are these cupcakes??!

And Katie came up a some very creative ways to use the party circles!! (They're not just for cupcakes any more!!)

As well as all the food and favors there were plenty of fun activities for the kids!!

BEAUTIFUL job Katie!!! Thank you SO much for sharing your party!!

If you have a moment please stop by the shop to see all our Circus and Carnival Printables!!

{Give Away} Cake Pops! (again!)

Howdy! Howdy!! Sooooo I was planning on giving away something else fabulous today, when I walked into Starbucks for my daily fix and there before my bleary eyes were CAKE POPS!! Not at all what I expected. And can you believe that their sales tactic is that each one is just under 200 calories?!  Well, thank goodness because if those little nuggets of deliciousness were 500 calories each, I'd be HUGE!!

So in honor of cake pops going all mainstream, I thought maybe it was time to give away another amazing copy!!

Just in case you not familiar with the fabulous Bakerella and her cake pops, here are a few inspirational pictures from the book...

Love it,  love it?!! Well, here's how you get one of your very own (so you don't have to worry about Starbucks being your cake pop dealer!) Just leave a comment on this post before Friday and I will select the winner Friday morning via random.org. Easy peesy!! Good luck!!

p.s. The winner must contact me within 24 hours of the announcement or forfeit their prize.

I'm Back!!

Hi! I'm alive. Can you believe it?! So, you can all stop sending those sweet emails asking where the heck-ity heck I've been. (Not that i didn't LOVE each and every one of them!!) I'm soooo sorry for ducking out for so long! Things got a little crazy. My husband brought home what I can only refer to as the "walking plague" and then Dashell got a version of it and the baby got a fever and a bad cough. And I was running around trying desperately to keep each one of them in their own cocoon of illness so as not to contaminate the others with their specific strain (and of course to keep everyone away from the baby! Especially Dashell with his hourly declarations of love which usually involve a hug and a kiss; or lately have involved a hug and a cough right into the recipient's face!)

I think all mothers out there can understand that when illness strikes you batten down the hatches and deal with what you can as you can. Sadly my blog writing had to fall off the end of the list.

BUT... now that I have peeked my head out of the hatch and finally have felt the warm beautiful sun on my face, I'm back!! And later today I'll post a fabulous GIVE AWAY so stay tuned!!

{New In The Shop} Modern Rodeo Cowboy and Cowgirl Collections!

I'm SOOO excited to show you the new Modern Rodeo Cowboy and Cowgirl Collections which are now in the shop!! They all started when a client came to me asking for a fun take on the cowboy theme. She wanted something a little more exciting and festive than the more traditional collections she'd seen around, but was still hoping to incorporate a few of the traditional elements, like bandanas and boots.

And here's what we came up with!!

Setting A Tone With Your Backdrop

I LOVE statement backdrops. They not only help to set a tone and mood for your table, but they also are a relatively easy way (if you choose the right one) to help elevate the level of drama that your dessert table projects.

That's right, don't kid yourself into thinking that these dessert tables which everyone has been laboring over these days aren't mini productions. And, being such, there is no reason that they shouldn't reflect that.

Some tables are bright and fun and some are dramatic and theatrical. But they are all like precious little shadow boxes which strive to perfectly encapsulate the mood and feel of the party they are a reflection of.

Here are two of my absolute favorite backdrops from recent parties...

I ADORE this wintery scene for this Sugar Plum Fairy party...

You definitely feel as through the dancers are just about to take the stage!

And this beautiful, graphic take on Snow White just takes my breath away...

All of the important story points are addressed perfectly and without undue embellishment. The mirror, the apples and the woods. You can almost feel the witch's presence!
